How much Lpa is suitable for Bengaluru

How much money per month/year is needed for a family of 3 to live in Bengaluru. What salary in Lpa do you think is suitable. (Assuming an Engineer's lifestyle)

The biggest expense would be rent. Followed by school fees. The rest are discretionary expenses. I would say 1LPM take home is reasonably good. Anything above, one must start planning to leave T1 cities. Unlike western economies, city based living/settlement is a failure in India.

Buying real estate in India is a big problem. That is the only reason people once moving into cities refuse to go back.
