How much hike do I need to ask?

I have cleared my technical round and my HR round is scheduled on next week. Since this is my first switch after 16 years in TCS, I am bit confused to ask ‘expected’ hike! Can you help me how much I can ask the raise! My current CTC is 16.5L

i read in fishbowl that the ceiling for SA is 30L and Manager is 42.

Find a soft spot so that you dont worry about finding a project when you go to bench.

Considering your experience . You might know whatever i say below . Just consider my points as reminder

after 40 IT job with higher pay might risk your job if someone accepts to work in lesser CTC . So consider 35 to 40 L if you are exceptionally skilled and you are good ROI to company.

Analyse the project you are going to manage is long term and stable.

Analyse the average salary paid to similar role and designation in the organisation you got selected

Based on the above factors i think you can decide

All the best for your HR round !

As per the current market situation, no one is willing to give more than 40% hike and you can ask above 60% if you are exceptional and having strong skills. And a note, there is a chance of rejection if you expect more hike. Because there are bunch people ready to do jobs with less hikes.
