So for a while now there have been so much talk around me about proficiency, currently my proficiency in my primary skill is P1. My current goal is to switch my project I want to know how much does it matter while switching project ?

When a project is finding an internal resource they usually look at mycompetency so it's better to have higher proficiency also the internal job posting tool also recommends you project based on your competency skill and proficiency

It matters a lot, I don't think any project will onboard you with P1. Try for P3 before switching.

P3 is good, Try to get at least P3
