How many hours do you ACTUALLY work per day? Honest answers only.
Not counting chai breaks, useless meetings where you are just on mute, or scrolling through your phone. Just pure productive work. Curious to know the reality of Indian corporate.
• Less than 4 hours (Chilling) • 4 to 6 hours (Solid deep work) • 6 to 8 hours (Pretty packed day) • 9+ hours (Basically living at work)

9+ hours, most of time is wasted in useless meetings, which if you don't attend, you are asked why not joined
Honestly less than 3 hours of work. Remaining 1-3 hours is spent on unnecessary meetings.
Meetings with no actual outcome, with only actual intention of managers is to show their worth of why they need to be still payed by company.
In these meetings they talk about, i spoke with the client and senior leader they are leaning towards the direction of AI automation. So team our focus for next sprint is x and y.
I will create a tracker to document all our ideas and then we can discuss, etc.
Bc, for this we don't need a manager, we just need an email from leadership. These meetings waste sooo much of my time, and honestly that's why telegram is such successful company.
Telegram doesn't have any useless posts like managers, HRs. They only have engineers and they do focused work based on devlopment and actual outcome.
Not some corporate jargon which the managers keep on speaking.

1 to 2 hours of deep focused work 1 to 5 hours of helping others and reviews 1 to 5 hours of meetings
Total hours in front of laptop can be between 3 and 12, nowadays averaging 5 to 6 maybe.
Most of it is mundane. I have to fully use my brain and deep think to solve or understand something challenging only once or twice a week.
