How many hours do you actually work per day?

For me 5 - I start by 11 and end by 7 but take an hour lunch break, 4-5 tea/coffee breaks and some gossips - I tracked one day and it was 5.2 hrs.

What about you?

I have adhd so I don't (read : can't) work until 2 days before sprint is about to get over then wrap the stuff up with anywhere between 8-10 hours pn both days.

I had it too, trying to keep it in control by picking small definite tasks, if I am given a big task I ll keep on wondering about itโ€™s complexity and code nothing. Now I break it into multiple small things write pseudo functions containing lots of TODOs, complete each one of them and pick another small thing.

Guys how do you know if you have adhd or not? I have a few symptoms - should I check with a psychologist?

But productivity is less for me. I want to fix it. Tips would be appreciated.

I wake up and gym early, start my work at 9:30 after breakfast. 2 hours of high productive work on new features till 11:30 and then I have standup. 12:30-1:30 I review other PRs before lunch. Complete lunch and a small walk + break by 2:30. Then make changes in my PR and another 2 hours of productive work till 5:30. Resolve my queries with mentor in the last 30 mins and I am done with the day

Is he just selling courses by creating fear? I understand that upskilling is the only way to increase your income and being credible in the industry. But the way he speaks I feel there is no life for IT employees at all....
