I don't use CRED. I wonder what are the benefits that you're seeing? And are those features really worth giving them access to your emails?
I used to pay my CC exclusively through Cred up until the pandemic. I have about 3 cc from various banks, and paying it though a unified app makes life much easier. Plus back in 2019 the cred coins actually had some value. I got a month's access to Cult Fit for 25,000 cred coins in 2019. However, now the app is just confusing, and coins are useless. I mostly use the individual bank apps to clear my dues since the last 2-3 years.
I've simply setup auto-pay in bank mobile app and set it to pay the statement in full. Just make sure to not use more than half of your credit limit and your score will be good.
Not signing up for CRED is one of the good things I did because of my privacy freak nature, even chose not to join there because they said I'll be required to use CRED on prod for tests sometimes.
