My manager informed me that the process for my C1 to C2 promotion was initiated in December. And my supervisor mentioned he will take it forward now Typically, how many months should I expect for all approvals to be completed

Tbh no one knows. Generally I have seen approx 6 months once the promotion is pending with HR. It depends on overall company and account performance
