How is this generation progressing ? 🤮

For people who are goanna get offended with what I am going to say next, you better refrain from reading further.

I mean people on the name of free speech are saying sht. A couple of days ago, I put a post regarding how referring a candidate turned into a sour experience. The whole intent of the post was to say how people get ungrateful and start changing their attitudes once they reach a phase when their selection is finalised, when days back you were on the verge of getting laid off. Instead of taking that perception into mind, the comments of some individuals were basis of male/female debates, saying, you are a smp, perert, and some random non sense. Saying you wouldn’t have helped a male like the way, you did a female. Most of these folks were from companies whose CEOs and Leaders talk about youth working for 70+ hrs/week. Using disgusting words like p**ies, holes, etc., horrible symbols like (), and so on. I mean I have serious question to their organisation’s management, aren’t you doing your due diligence before hiring such individuals? How are female employees safe around them? And if you are working for 70+ hrs a week, then how are you getting time to think about these sht, aren’t you getting tired ? And even after working for 70+ hrs a week, you are still there ? Couldn’t get into a PBC ?

I helped the candidate because of the following reasons(acc. to her):

  • Lost a parent a year ago.
  • Current company going through a series of layoffs.
  • Getting around 11 LPA despite having 4.5 yoe.

Let me tell you something, when I got started off, I was very very blessed to be around people who mentored me like I was a small kid, they not only taught me tech, but took chances on me and believed in me when I wasn’t sure about myself. My whole intent of helping the other candidate was to simply give back to the community. I would have helped a guy too even if he was in a much better situation and would have asked me for help. I can’t do much other being extremely grateful to the people who stood around me like a rock, helping and mentoring me even though I made multiple mistakes.

A note to such folks, you are in such companies because you haven’t done enough when you were supposed to that’s why you are there. Be it in reaching a very good college or cracking the interview in a good company. Ask yourself did you do everything right so far to reach where you wanted to be ? Do you even know the number of hours we put to reach to where we are. People working in PBCs would agree with me that it was not an easy path for us to be where we are, numerous hours of grinding, skipping on enjoyment opportunities to be where we are today. And having one or mentors who helped us throughout.

Personally I would attribute all of whatever I achieve so far whether it was open sourcing for Tesla or Meta or exploring things which many wouldn’t allow an entry level engineer, and having done all of this for countless days I have reached to where I am today.

A genuine request to all readers, please stay away from having conversations like male/female comparisons, or any such controversial topics; instead work hard and focus on building yourself and your own career. Coz remember it is you, who has to fulfil your dreams and get an identify for yourself in the society, nobody else will.

Thoughts?

P.S.: Genuinely sorry if this hurts anyone. But it is what it is.

I would again say you acted like a simp.

  1. You reached back to her.... I mean Why? Are you recruiter?
  2. You told her she has to shift to Hyderabad....again why? Again are you recruiter?
  3. You pushed your team to hire her even though she didn't perform well....what do i even say here ?
  4. You are talking to her about salary....bruh are you even software engineer or are you HR ?
  5. You sure as hell wouldn't have gone to such lengths for a male candidate, you know that i know that everybody knows that. You shot your shot but you were shot in the end 😂

Boss, again choti soch. She reached to me when our team was hiring. And again, moving to a city is never my condition, it’s the team’s thing. I have no role to play there. But then we made exceptions for her and gave her the city she wanted. Again, exception was not made by me, but the leadership. And boss, you need to first get into that level where your opinions would be counted. Sadly you are still not there. So work for that. ✌🏻

@Thugeshwar Ignore them like a shit, bro. Many of these folks are into judging others and always crying their RnDrona in one or the other way. Some other folks genuinely posted their problems and I tried to share my thoughts and suggestions towards growth and positiveness some weeks back, these people jumped in and started talking bullshit without even reading the original poster's post. There is a saying, Jahan gaon hota hai waha 4 chutiye hote hi hai. So better ignore and move on😊

They are unloading because of anonymity. It's how the internet works man, be it fb Twitter reddit or 4chan.

This is what people really say and think. Good, bad and ugly.

Get used to it 🤷‍♂️ it's always been like this, I guess you're realising it for the first time.
