How is this even fair?

Hi all,

I started my journey at wipro with 3.5 lpa. After 3.8 years working here it became 5.2 lpa

In 2024, they gave 75k and in 2025, they gave 2.25 lakhs as Retention Bonus. To have this merged into my 5.2 lpa, I have to stay here for next 2 years.

With this less pay and less hike but more work and personal responsibilities, staying next 2 yrs is too hard.

But to leave also, I have to pay back 3 lakhs bonus + 25k insurance premium I took.

So what's ur opinion?

But why did you take the bonus. That was the biggest mistake. You should have resigned then n there.

No either pay back or stay

I paid it all. I joined NTT with 13 lpa

Don't get tied down to such companies. Get a good offer, pay the fee and leave

Even I have pay back 2.75 Lacs as I have left before retention period.
