
How is reskilling from one domain to another option in TCS?
Hello all, I've a experience of 7.7 years into etl development and production support combined. Currently I'm working as etl developer in IBM for 3.5+ years.
I recently got a offer at TCS with a good hike. I have an aspiration to switch to ux/ui design field for which I've created a portfolio and have made decent contacts in my current organization.
I want to know how feasibile is this transition possible in TCS? I.e working for a while as data engineer and then moving to ux/ui design team? IBM has a reskilling option with some guidelines. Is there similar option in TCS? How supportive is management when I need to switch such way?
I need to know this coz I'm stuck between, 1- Take up TCS offer and work for a year or so and later switch to ux/ui domain. Or 2- Compromise on the hike for now and stay at IBM so the contacts and reskilling I made so far will be of help in switching to ux field in future.
