Trending @Infosys; How is optional holiday different from normal holidays?

If I apply for an optional holiday, will my leave balance get deducted? If not then why are they tagged as optional? Can anyone help me to understand this please 🙏🏻

U can avail an optional holiday either for diwali or Christmas, won't get deducted from normal leaves if u apply for optional holiday

Can I apply only 1 ? My location has 2 optional holidays.

If you select 1 optional holiday and avail it, it will not affect your leave balance as it is a holiday.
As we have diversity in infy, one can take opt holiday as per his/ her festival
