How is everyone switching company with a 3 month notice period?
How are you guys switching and how are you dealing with the 3 months notice period? Like we have to tell the HRs that we have a 3 month notice period or lie to them? I am confused.
I generally resign without any offer, and don't do any job searching during the 3-month notice period.
Then after the notice period has ended, I start preparing for interviews and then search & find the next job within 3-6 months as an immediate joiner.
This helps me focus on job search properly, and also the 3-6 month break between jobs gives me time to rest & recharge / recuperate.
But one caveat, do not attempt this unless you have enough savings to be able to survive 1-2 years without working, in case the job search takes longer
Try to crack atleast 1 comp getting their offer in hand before resigning. So that you are ensured for and prepared for a worst case . If youre confident enough then go ahead, resign today and then apply.
