How hard the design rounds for SDE 2?
I have given around 6 7 company interviews. I am able to ace all the DSA rounds(never faced any rejection for DSA) but somehow rarely cracked any system design rounds.
I have implemented / read /practiced a lot of common design problems and use to provide the same in interviews. Byt seems like the interviewer is never completely satisfied with the solutions. This might be because none of the problems has a 100% success rate / no cons and the interviewers also have mentioned that there does not exist a perfect solution.
I just wanted to know that is it common with others giving design rounds as well that they all face these challenges or is it the case that mostly interviewers are satisfied with the solutions.

Its actually depends a lot in terms of measurement:
- If you want to be completely reqdy where you can say you would be able to crack atleast 90% of dsa rounds, then you should be at a state where you will be able to solve almost all medium level problems and 50 60% of hsrd problems on your own.
- you can be interview ready then as well when you have started observing patterns between problems and able to solve most of the medium level problems. Here you might skip some advanced topics(hashing, seg trees, etc.) where some comapny can ask them but majority wont.
Besides these 2 cases, it highly depends on your luck that you faced a problem which you can map to some of the famous problems even though you have not covered / solved large amount of questions.
