How GV's Popular feed works?

It is same for everyone.. how does they define what is "popular", what isn't? Specifically when some posts which are just newly created goes into Popular.. and some just never does..

Any random guesses? Observations?

I don’t think it’s the same. Given that every time I refresh I see a new feed.

Then it gets more interesting.. how refreshing a feed can create a new popular feed altogether?

It's same for everyone (most probably).. so yes it's on my feed as well! :)

I had the same question when I interacted with one of the GV team members. What I have been told is there is a logic which actually considers the number of likes/comments/clicks/shares in certain period of time on the post.

One thing I feel is.. it's not completely algorithm based.. and some human intervention is there.. (check their API 👀)

Also people who recently joined or have created less posts are more on popular..as compare to older.. even when I started GV my posts were usually Popular (with just 2-3 likes🙂) so I think* that is one factor..
