How expectations changes with Finance - An observation

As woman starts earning well, they look for men who earn equal or better than them.

As men starts earning well, they look for a woman who can just take care of a family and hold traditional wife roles.

Both stems from the multiple centuries of patriarchy. Women still wants a provider (both earning and non earning) and men still wants to provide.

In the end, people who suffer are the well paid career oriented woman and unemployed or not so well paid men. Their worlds are different altogether.
