How easy is to get a project release
I have 12.5yrs of experience in IT and recently been added to a project 3months back! L On the 2day itself found that this isn’t my cup of tea. More than my skillset i’m working on the management stuffs, clearly no scope for improvement. Plus very worst management, off-shore manager was indeed a HR earlier turned to SDM, onsite manager doesn’t even know how to speak! On the other end client manager who is also an Indian always seeks a way to escalate! Our management didn’t raise any voice against client but will raise against all our sub ordinates. Lacks resources count, they don’t have intension to increase the strength. Started micro management, unwanted tracking management, unsound words, putting extra pressure, etc. I don’t feel work life balance here! Is there any way I can seek for project release! Btw i am the tower lead in this project!
Just to add a note, i already informed my discomfort to my manager on my first week, but they are not initiating any steps against my release. They just saying that they will speak to higher management. Not sure how to handle this! Should I got to HR?
Just switch off everything after office hours and enjoy family life. In 8 working hours just do your job and try to get out of the project. Management should be cool and serious about project instead of micro manage associates looks like it is toxic BPO way kind of work culture not I.T Seriously if it is that kind of project just work for salary.
It's not easy to get released. Be prepared that you might end up with 1-2 enemies post release. Your immediate supervisor would be the one to keep pushing and won't be replying to your queries.
It's easy to switch than to get release from project in tcs. I m myself trying to get release from last 6 months but they didn't give any release and finally told won't be getting release at all so better' prepare and switch asap.
