How does background check work?
Any idea what’s the process an HR follows to check the background of a candidate. Any tools or resource they use in this process.
They either outsource it to an agency partner who has been doing it for years. The agency partner ideally connects with all ex employees and checks about feedback and the salary you had mentioned. In case of failure it is highlighted back.
Mostly done by 3rd party agencies. Those agencies can't contact all your previous colleagues. They may contact colleagues who you may have given as references in your BGC form.
Some agencies does check your PF history to make sure of your employment records.
For address verification, a person might come to verify or they ask you to use their app, they get the location to validate with address you have given in form.
