Let them explore exisiting codebases and struggle for a bit, this way they become independent and less reliant on you. I try to give everything to get them started about how our processes work

Don't step in for bug fixes until it is necessary but try to give code quality feedback and design suggestions early on so that major refactoring can be omitted at the last minute. Keep dev testing, code quality and review standards high, some hand holding will be needed here.

Initially stakeholder management you can do so that they can focus on tasks and not meetings.
