How do you negotiate rent with blr landlords?
I'm looking to rent a 3bhk flat in Kormangla, as I'm about to move there soon. Upon seeing these ridiculous rents and deposits, it got me wondering if there's any leverage I have against Bangalore landlords. I've heard this on multiple occasions that techbros suck at negotiating and most would go with brokers where they don't have direct communication with the landlord during the negotiation phase. Maybe that's part of the problem? Is there anything we have or can use as a point based on which we can negotiate the rent ? I'd love to know if there's anyone here or someone they know who has successfully done this.

In Bangalore do we need to pay 5 months in advance? Or usual 3 months in deposit??
Don't do Kormangala haha, look for something in BTM/HSR High demand areas like Kormangala give little room for us plebs to negotiate, if not you, someone else will be willing to pay
I've had friends on the u-turn of a building who've been called and asked to go back cuz someone paid the token over WhatsApp pictures. Flats go away in prime areas like Koramangala cuz supply and demand. Go to Kasavanhalli and Chudasandra and BTM and there their original rent will be so low, you'll be like what's the catch bro

@Limo4 , Landlords here have realized that people coming into bangalore are stupid with regards to rent. They know techies earn so much that they will be okay with this rent. So, if you try to bargain, they won't listen bcoz there are others who are ready to pay that amount
