How do you guys prepare your resume for job application?
How important are keywords for resume shortlisting? How do you update your resumes?
I created resume per profile so that relevant stuff was at the top. I did toy around with ATS but I confess giving up before I could figure it out. I was just tired of seeing an aesthetically boring resume stare back at me.
Did you ever try the online resume editors with colorful templates ? I have always found esthetically boring templates to be easier to consume as a recruiter.
It's surprising most among us apply with the same old resume. 😆
What is ATS?
An ATS-friendly resume is a resume that is formatted to be easily read by an applicant tracking system (ATS). Resumes that are formatted for ATSs have a better chance of reaching hiring managers, which can lead to more job interviews and offers.
Easy apply with Linkedin is a scam. Haven't heard of anyone get a call back. People rarely update cvs with Easy apply.
