How do you even make friends in your late 20s?

I earn an average living ~12LPA as a Consultant. I sometimes wonder how people actually meet anyone outside of this place. How do you guys find real friends while working a standard 9-to-5?

At work, I try to be friendly which my peers appreciate, but there hasn't been one person who actually wanted to hang out. My peers around me constantly network just to get better project allocations, some fake small talk about my weekend, even though they just want help with their timesheets and more.

The transactional chats and empty plans makes me sad beyond belief. It is almost like I give so much of time to this org and although everyone cares about the client deliverables but no one cares about
