How do you actually get into product management?

I have some internship experiences, a beautiful portfolio with product case studies, an interesting website but still everyone is asking for 1-3 years of experience/MBA degree. I firmly believe that I am at par (if not better) with the people with few years of experience in random jobs and an MBA graduate.

Any APMs or PMs wanna help me out how to start my full time career in Product Management. Also what are some good companies to begin my PM journey in.

If you have basic analytics experience/knowledge, then starting as Product Analyst in a firm is a great way to in for PM career.

Credentials? Portfolio link? Internship details?
Kuch to batao...

In general, market is tougher than it used to be. PM roles are in general 1/10 th of SDE jobs ( it is supposed to be like that ). And due to sudden popularity of the role, supply of people looking to get in is actually much lesser than demand ( influencers are the reason to pouplarise this, they are cashing in too... On hope ). Hence they are applying as many filters as they can ( experience, MBA, etc )

I would suggest, get a proper product internship using your other intern experiences and use that for PPO, or get fulltime into a good startup with decent funding ( seed, series A or above ) via a referral/connections.

If you put the effort in right direction, then above should work. Else, tier-1 MBA is always a way.

Yessss exactly, this is the problem that I am facing rn. Too many filters, even an entry level job is being grabbed by overqualified IITians and IIM graduates. As far for my portfolio and resume refer: https://bit.ly/arpitsahay18 (any job references are highly appreciated 🥰🥰). I am confused between MBA or an entry level internship. I live in tier 2 (almost tier-3) city therefore in any job or internship, I will have to relocate. Anything under 30k is going to be a big struggle. Pursuing MBA is also like a hit or miss because most of the colleges doesn't have specializations in PM and job opportunities at the end might again require work ex which will bring me back to the same problem.

Can you suggest: Good company for product related internships
Or Good MBA college for Product Management

Moved from Operations to Product internally

The thing is I'm a fresher, I am confused. Should I choose some mundane job roles and than transition or look for product related roles. Cause even moving internally is hard. I am skeptical my CV might get messy, it is already a mixed bowl right now

That's a great username for sure. Now to what you asked, Try to send your Case Studies to Product Leaders of related companies or industry, This might help you get a chance at APM/PM or PA roles.
