Just ask for 3 more moths extended maternity leave which is Lop. Later you can also exhost all your remaining leaves and can search for good opportunities within that time.
Doesn't LOP come with strings attached? Wouldn't they expect me to stay at work for sometime after that?
You are free to choose what you want after ML. There is a new rule that employees will get attached to the previous account after ML. But it's purely optional for you. You can say no to your previous account and can be on 90 days bench period. In this period you get salary. If you won't get job within 90 days after ML then you get additional 90days LOP. you have plenty of time to get new job.
