Trending @Accenture; How can we change Technology internally?
Can anyone tell me how to change technology in Accenture? I am currently working in the SAP domain, but I want to switch to a Data Engineering role. Is there any way to switch internally?
Yes there is one way I have changed my primary skil. Go on bench do relevant certification and also do some bootcamp using LKM if possible. Then email your TPM to approve your primary skil change.
Or build good profile in competency, do certifications( is valued more in accenture), then do some personal projects .
Talk to ur manager say ur aspirations, insists him Many times. He will roll off you if you arent imp resource/ have less dependecy.
Don't do anything without good knowledge on what u are going to do . Yeah DE getting more popularized now yes we should capitalise still see u really like the work.
Search jobs outside too it's better do outside switch rather than internal.
Personal connections is the way to go, my friend! It's next to impossible to change the primary skill just by using the change option on myCompetency. You need a direct approval from a designated MD level person. Apart from that, even for working in that tech, it's very difficult to get the opportunities on careers marketplace. You need personal connections with the managers/MDs to get such opportunity.
