Both hard skills and soft skills are highly important for career growth. Sadly people rely only on hard skills. According to research and statistics, also as published by linkedin soft skills promote 80%of career growth. Flexibility and Adaptability are important soft skill which is highly discussed during performance moderation by leaders. While having career tragetory is very important for your learning, you need to stand out voicing your career aspiration hand in hand with projects health and your DU benefits. Anyone who cracks this will sky rocket their growth with the help of their leads itself. I personally onboarded 3 times ASE's on short term project which was not aligned to their career aspiration. But only because of their attitude and trust in me i did meaningful network on their behalf and patched them with right projects later post my current project. I also gave feedback to their new leads about their professional ethics displayed. Sadly I see freshers dont understand profession as whole and heavily depend on hard skills only. Rest is upto you.

You have to ask them again and again..they really don’t roll off freshers but if you are lucky and there’s any window, you will have a slight chance of roll off.

Change your mindset. There are lots of learnings in support project as well. Try to understand end to end of systems your project work. There are lots of scopes in support project. Give it a chance. And still if you do not feel aligned to your career goals, you can talk to your manager and try to address your points and your career goals and most importantly, where you can deliver your best.

I don't think they take freshers for implementation roles unless you're a prodigy. Correct me if i am wrong!
