Trending @Capgemini; How can I escalate a manager who continues to speak in Hindi during meetings, despite repeatedly informing them that I don’t understand?

I am not against any language.

If I don’t know a language, why are you speaking to me in it in office meetings?

Same if talking with you malayalam, telugu and tamil is fine for you or any other language you not understanding that language I talk with you in office meeting mean fine for you?

If I am in working in Delhi or Mumbai I am ready to learn Hindi.

In the office, the common language is English. So why speak in Hindi if the other person doesn’t understand it?

I believe no single language should be imposed. India does not have a national language.

If some team members know Hindi, that’s fine. But forcing it on others is wrong.

You ask him to repeat. If all team members are understanding then nothing wrong your manager is doing.

Two more people in the team also didn't understand and informed about it. I was in presentation mode on the Teams call, continuously speaking in Hindi, and she asked me why I wasn’t understanding anything and working slowly.

Leave a text in the meeting that you are not able to follow in Hindi . Try twice . If that doesn't change then inform on the call directly.. if that doesn't change then talk to him personally .. mostly that should change. Else it's a serious concern. You might have to end of escalating to his manager..
