Honest take: Is the India AI Impact Summit 2026 a game-changer for India’s global AI role, or mostly hype & chaos?
I heard from someone who is presenting their startup in this submit that most of the products are from china and labelled as indian and showcasing them as - it's an Indian invention.
And there's Galgotias university who just brought up a robot dog from china and showcasing it as they have built it, and they have spent approx 350cr in R&D.
Seen that this submit is not allowed any laptops, how people will present their ideas or projects.
Till now, I haven't seen any good news from this submit. It's just creating hype.

Make In India was same drama. All money guzzling marketing by government. Components sourced at cheap rates from china and screw drived assembled in India with cheap plastic sticker Make in India.

These things are done silently , the money they have spent on this summit might have funded a good ai startup and that might be a good alternative to foreign based llm and agentic platforms but in india babus no nothing about tech and are dumb so are the politicians.
