Holiday for elections

In TS I can see that it is a holiday on 20th but my manager is telling me to work. Anyone else also facing this issue ?

If you are from Maharashtra, then by laws, you must get a leave for legislative assembly elections. Ask your manager to send you a mail keeping your HR in CC.
