HIS policy continuation

I was force resigned with 2days of notice. Separation HR said, I will get consent email/letter to continue HIS, but I didn't receive any yet. It's been a week since I completely left TCS.

When I approached New India Assurance guy, he is saying, I can port policy ONLY before last day of working. 😌 Also need Ulti screenshot and continue letter from TCS.

Alumni portal is not having any info related to HIS at all.

Should I buy new policy, like star health? Or try my best to port the police?

Always keeping a separate health insurance policy is advisable outside your organization.

Someone may have seperate policy for family (self+spouse+children). But for parents, they may depend on TCS HIS, due to their age.

For parents even be more careful. Now many companies give health insurance for the elders but yes premium will be little on the higher side if not under the continuation. But that small amount can save you lakhs of savings in case of hospitalization. Think about it and make a wiser decision.

TCS logic. Each city RMG and HR has their own targets to meet.
