
Hike on Promotion from C1 to C2?
I joined as Systems Engineer with grade C1 in 2021 under innovator recruitment program (9LPA). It's been 3.3 years now with TCS and my total YOE as well. I've resigned a month back and today got a call from HR saying my name is under the promotion list and I'll be promoted to C2 (ITA) by January 2025. Though this promotion was initiated by my manager last year in September only. Within this 3.3 years I got 5 rating in my 1st anniversary appraisal and A band in both annual appraisal. And with hike and all my current CTC is 11.36
Now I'm thinking how much hike should I expect in promotion from C1 to C2?
Is it worth staying back? (No, I've already made my mind and I've received almost 130% hike offer from another company)
Why TCS doesn't offer promotions/onsite/hikes when they have their employees working and why do they offer all lf it only after resignation?

I am also innovator joined in 2022, I am planning to switch but is the market alright should I wait for 3 years to be completed for the switch

Market seems fine now. And if you complete your 3 years you can go for the next level roles otherwise companies won't treat you as an experienced, and you'll again stay in the same level.

Ohh thanks for the info, my project is mostly based on automotive not entirely software centric, will it be an issue in switching
