I don’t think it is a mis information and neither it came from HR. We had it from L6 yesterday. “Expectations hurts. Don’t expect outcomes yet, keep the focus on deliverables” is what he stated.

You are right, after seeing you post i checked with my L7 and he confirmed there will be no hike this year end as well.
Chances of hike and promotion is rare.
