Infosys' policy is not a child's play, my friend. Break it and they'll make you dance to their tunes. Legal action? Maybe, maybe not. But why invite trouble? "Akalmand ko ishara kaafi hai". Now, have you considered the ethical implications of your actions?

Not sure about your client but sometimes there are agreements in place for moving to a client company.
I joined the client company from Infosys, , there was a certain quota to limit movement and Infy NOC was needed. They took their sweet time ( 5 months ) for approval and allowed me to join after another 3 months.

If you are JL5 and below don’t worry go ahead join. I am assuming you are not joining the same project. Infosys won’t bother for chillar folks like us. The non compete clause are for senior folks. And anyways non compete clause is not legally viable in India. But if client has signed some cooling off period with infosys. The themselves will not consider you till that cool off period . In many cases client themselves initiate this discussion with infosys move resources into their org that process is called re-badging.
