
Hi guys, right now in TCS my package is 19LPA with C2 grade 10 yrs exp
I submitted my resignation and 1 month left for my notice period. HR contacted me for retention and they are saying that my package is already high as per TCS standards and they cant hike anymore. My question is if they give promotion as c3A, can i take back my resignation and continue with TCS? I yet to get offers from outside as current market is not good

19 LPA is not too high for 10 YOE. they are offering 32-35 for 12-13 yoe laterals.

Cool, if i have that intention, i would not submit my resignation, more over I submit my resignation with out any offer. Due to the present market conditions I didn’t get a offer from good company ( i have 3 offers right now with me)

Do HR contact for retention ? I am in similar situation and on asking my manager told that HR wont call me.
Seems like he doesn’t want me to stay in TCS

Recently I got promoted from C2 to C3A from with 18.6 LPA . I am lateral entry from a start up. They will give 15% if you have last 2 bands as A. Less than that if have mix of A & B bands . This is my experience.

IF NO OFFER THEN PLEASE STAY IN TCS

Even at the C3B position not getting that much, you are in a good boat.

Bro let me tell you straight away-
- 10 yoe and 19 lpa is low if you are in IT. For operations ppl it is not low.
- promotion to C3A Will not give you more than 8-10 %. It is not even comparable to growth which you will get from switch
- decide priority - growth or peaceful life.
In TCS, if you don’t like work/project/ manager you can ask for release and you can change that if you get into something toxic. This remains an all time open option with you till you are in TCS. Other companies might not have these option as not all companies have so many diverse domain and positions - do not be apprehensive. Once, you decide just stick with it and you will get new job in sometime if not immediately
