Hi fishes, feeling lost with my new job role 😰 Still they didnt give KT already assigning me so much of work , need to work beyond 9 hours in order to complete it. There is no agile model so task needs to be completed asap after it gets assigned. In my old Company haven't worked more on development task, it was more of admin & support. So im not sure how to get started with this new product/Company !! Any suggestions ?
If you at Infosys , it’s expected . Even am also undergoing the same pain and absolutely there is no value for our effort (either from client as well from company) . Am also kind of lost and absolutely no work life balance . Even in my previous org I had work pressure but I never felt like this and somehow still am not able to digest this culture ..
You were able to deliver well in the previous role or organisation because you were there for long and learnt things overtime. Now here at Infosys, you have been placed in an ongoing project (and not a new project). Hence you are feeling this.
I feel the initial few days/weeks would be difficult and you will have to spend time to learn.. but once settled, things should be easy.
For an old and ongoing project, it is difficult to provide 100% KT at the beginning and lots of things we learn overtime.
Am sure you would have been in a similar situation in any other organisation as well.
Lastly, it is Ok to ask for Help. Talk to others in the team and ask for guidance. Nobody is expecting you to deliver 110% on Day1.
Everything is new thats why you are feeling pressured. Things will streamline in few months. After that you will get accustomed with the pressure and it won't bother you much. Give it time. 😄
