Hey guys, starting a new business by turning my family home into a homestay. Would love to have your suggestions.

Hey guys, i am just here to get some feedback on our homestay that my family has started recently. Assuming you guys are travelling a lot and would have had taste of all kinds of hotels and homestays just trying to understand what makes it a positive click for you while selecting a property.

My father (who has a lot of time on his hand after retiring from Army) and our family delved into homestay business in our native town in Gaya, Bihar. We got great bookings during our opening month too.

Gaya and especially Bodh Gaya is famous for its rich Buddhist heritage, Vishnupad temple, Barabar caves among other attractions.

I would love to know from a third person's perspective of what you guys think while choosing such homestays ( I am sure cleanliness and safety are usual reasons but something other than that, that we may not be able to think about at first instance).

Btw we are not some business family but a simple middle class family that is learning about this business slowly. Thanks a lot for your time.
