Help with realistic salary range!!!
I want to know the ideal and realistic salary range for a Person with below details:
- 7 years of experience
- Current designation Senior Product Manager
- Experience in Banking & Fintech
- B-Tech & MBA
- Pass out from a Tier-3 kind of college
When 7 years of experience is seen as senior experience, no wonder there's so much delusion amongst the folks
This post is not to debate if 7 yoe is senior or not. No one claimed it is and no one denied it's not, very subjective. Think you didn't understood the question.
I'm very clear about what I wrote. I think this is actually the part of the problem where folks with 6-7 years of experience get a senior role, Senior product manager for the person here. And then their expectations of salaries are off-the-roof. One comment suggests anywhere between 30-60lpa. And when companies hire people with such inflated salaries, they're bound to go belly up because it's unsustainable. FYI, people from Product are the ones who actually face the firing squad first.
I think since it's been 7yrs+ since you graduated, tier should matter less. Make sure you are around the corner in CTC with other folks in an org (or similarly funded startups/ industry)
I'd say aim for 35/40 fixed + whatever's on top
