Help! Need a job asap

My husband lost his job. He got laid off all too suddenly. We have home loans and bills to pay. He has 12+ years of experience as a backend engineer and 2 years as team lead. He has expertise in Ruby on rails and Django. He is a BE drop out. He came this far only with his skill. He has been giving interviews but they give him the assurance that he will be joining their company on a said date, show him around the office and then they reject him. Im not sure whats happening. Please help
