My Details:

Let us come together to spread the word and extend our support to those in need.

Name: Gunta Venkata Rakesh.

Employee Id 1947076

Employee Details have been working in TCS since 2021.

Background of the case:

Initially, my father was suffering from stomach pain 2 years back and was unable to digest his food for about three months. He took some medications recommended by

my village. -One day, he was in a serious situation with critical stomach pain and went to omni Hospital in Kurnool.

They informed us that he had stage 4 cancer of the liver and needed immediate treatment. The doctors suggested transferring him to Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital in

Hyderabad.

At Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital, they recommended which he underwent chemotherapy, whi for about four months. After that, we had a PET CT scan, which

revealed that the tumors had increased, and they suggested moving to nuclear medicine at that moment it got spread to the large intestine and to the esophagus. The insurance department accepted the full amount raised by the hospital. However, after submitting the receiving injections from nuclear medicine called Lutetium-177 Dotatate therapy from DR. Nakir Ali. Initially, I applied for insurance, and my father started the discharge summary, they confirmed that the medication was not covered

under the terms and conditions of the TCS policy.

we began nuclear medicine treatment when the insurance agreed to pay the amount charged by the hospital, but later the claim was repudiated/cancelled. My entire family and friends collected funds and started paying whatever the hospital requested. The doctor confirmed that my father requires eight cycles of treatment to recover. -so far, my father has completed three cycles, with each cycle costing around INR 2 lakhs.

-Each cycle has a duration we need help from the TCS of approximately three months. family.

Suggest you to contact HR and get any help in terms of insurance coverage, getting treatment from Tata Cancer Hospital or even sending out a mail to all Tata employees to pitch in with whatever help they can. If not done already, you can raise crowdfunding request in other online platforms like Milaap and Ketto. Ensure to understand details about their charges as I've heard they take some percentage of funds raised. You should also attach proofs whenever you raise requests in any social media platforms so that people understand about the genuine requests. Pray that your dad recovers soon and your family stays strong during this difficult period. I'll be pitching in as well. Good luck brother.

How can insurance company decline after committing. Have you raised the matter with HR? If they are declining the payment there should be specific terms in the policy that allow it. Tata welfare trust is a good idea. You are contributing to the trust and they can help. Apart from the link to apply that was shared in this thread, HR can also guide, help with the application.

Hi
At starting insurance accepted whatever requested by the hospital and they told that this may vary based on discharge summary Once hospital team submitted that discharge summary based on seeing all those details they are saying that
This type of flow is not acceptable by TCS policy and same I had discussed with my HR she said it is not under our TCS policy...
And i have to raise in tata trust and tata welfare I am just going to get all the documents from hospital to submit in that portal

Connect with local HR. My mother has been suffering from blood cancer since 2018 and most things were covered . You can withdraw from PF . Or check whether your father or mother is having any government insurance.
