Who is more closer to India? Russia or Israel?
Russia: Is a business man, sells hardware based on need, yes they prefer India but its all transitional relationship based business with a more preferred partner. Recently they agreed to sell engines to PAK.
Israel: Until Modi came in power, we never acknowledged the fact or supported them in public. But I believe even when we don’t buy like Barak or something from them, then also they will kind of support us? They support us with spice in Kargil with both supply & integration on Mirage.
What do you think? Please help me understand.
Both & Neither. They both are friends because we can splurge truckload of money on defence. We are big economy. Russia: All most all aircraft except mirage, jaguar, tanks + nuclear submarine. Veto in UNSC Israel: Few missiles, radars, BMD programme, intelligence & training. Basically western tech with lesser western conditions.
They are not friends nor allies. Common interest drives the relationship.
Nobody is closer, whatever is of benefit to them they behave that way...
