Help me to select appropriate role
Currently I am in RMG. I got selected for two accounts. Both account is ready to allocate me. My past experience is in Data analysis, data operations and data validation. I am confused which role should i select ?
- Microstrategy Developer And 2) technical role on Dynamics 365 - customer insights tool.
I don’t have extensive experience on SQL but basic knowledge. Both of these roles require SQL but project team is ok to help for sometime. Can anyone help me to choose - which will be beneficial for me ?
Or...shall I wait for role in data analysis ?
You can ask them what technology they work on other than SQL. They say they will help, but once you're inside the project, there is nobody to ask for, everyone will be busy with their own things. This is what I observed across projects. Ask them what kind of work they do in the project and what you're expected to do. In most cases they use fancy role names such as DEVELOPER, and then give a support role. So choose thoroughly and don't just go with words.
Just one additional Rather than oral commitments go for mail commitments about technology and role so that if any consequences occurs you can report to the upper managements .......
Yes, this can be useful as well. But requirements can change at times so this might get useless. But better to have than not.
