help me resolve this
I need to buy something from someone who is far away and it's a classic trust issue.
we both don't know each other, so shall that person send the item first or i need to transfer the money first ?
he is asking me to just trust and transfer the money first but I don't want to risk the money.
a neutral third party could be a solution but doesn't seem feasible in this situation.
also we can't bring legal contract or anything here.
how do I solve this ?

Reciprocal transaction. Ship by cod

If the item is costly, you can make a contract online and then pay. This wil help you if on case there is dispute in future.
if it is not so costly, PayPal have an option for buyer protection

Good post .
For the uninitiated that’s how banks grew and that’s what DLT/Blockchain promises .

Pay an advance token amount, small enough that you can lose if need be. Ask to dispatch, pay the rest on date of dispatch or after receiving. You book the courier pickup if you can. Can exchange pan cards/some id to establish trust but should check them up online too.
One answer: COD courier

Ask for COD order and take video of parcel being packed
