HELP ME PLEASE 🥺🥺🥺

Hi guys so I have been working at TCS for the past 4 years. I took up CAT 2024 and secured a score good enough to receive 14 interview calls from various IIMs and IITs. Most of these interviews are off-line and are scheduled to happen in Bangalore (I'm from Chennai).

Given the RTO policies and no WFH provision available in my project i end up spending 8-9 hrs a day at the office and the commute to and from the office takes away another 2- 3 hrs. Given this i hardly find the time to prepare for my interviews and have already actually fucked up one of these 14 interviews.

I explained my situation and requested my delivery manager for a long leave which he denied and asked me to take an off just for a day on days of the interview. I asked him for a release but he isn't willing to release me either.

What do you guys suggest i should do ? The next one month is super crucial for me and could actually swing my life either way. I wish to take a break from work to be able to do that but my DM isn't allowing me to.

What should I do 😭😭😭

Bro, i deeply understand your situation. You can do few things, either if you can manage tour financial needs then resign and prepare or else give some medical excuse and take leaves, if you dont have leave balances go with LWP and get your preparation done. TCS is shit as always and dont risk your life due to this. Hope this helps

I have 26 earned leaves and about 28 sick leaves, but availing them would require my managers approval right? How do I get them if he isn't approving them?

if you don't go to the office for a quarter, your qva will be lost but you can use the time to prepare for your future. If you are confident enough then take this risk and go for it. Don't get trapped in TCS work and rto policies. Focus on your future

Take the risk of just losing variable pay. Do WFH and give interviews. Why would you explain this situation to DM? They would certainly not happy with you if you are planning to leave

Resign from the job? The IIM interview seem much more important my friend

Or, take sick leave? A little unethical but still maybe worth it.
