HELP ME PLEASE 🥺
So the thing is my delivery manager isn't giving me leaves, nor is he releasing me and to make it worse we don't have a WFH option in my project. However i desperately need an immediate month long break from work to prepare for my interviews at IIMs and IITs to enroll in their MBA program.
I thought of resigning, but even in that case i would have to serve a 3 month notice period. I thought of resigning and buying out the notice period, but while discussing with one of my seniors at TCS he suggested buying out wasn't an option u had at TCS.
Is it true? Can I really not buy out my notice period??

Its easy. Stop working and going to office because you want to do MBA so band and rating should not be a concern to you.

How long you have been working at TCS? if you are here for longer than 2 years, you have a sabbatical option without resigning. You should not have assumed about getting a buy out without discussions at first place.

I have been in TCS for 4 years, but to avail LWP i would need to get an admission letter right? Also i didn't bring up the resignation thing in front of my actual HR but with a friend of mine who's an HR at TCS

You can look for Another Project if you are over 3 years in project, check HR policy hub, Last September it came. You follow a procedure to get released.

If you don't have dependency on project , they will allow you to leave early
Depends of delivery manager mostly, may be try explaining things to hr
All the best

Try taking casual and sick leaves to prepare for the MBA interviews.
