12moHelp me decide guys
I have got an offer from tcs with 19L package. Currently I’m working with Accenture with 15L package. Speculations are going on that Accenture may provide hikes/promotions this June 2025. So is it a good decision to drop papers at this point of time? Please suggest

Dropping papers >>>> waiting for Hike
Coz you are not sure on the hike percentage right!?
And also TCS agrees for 3 months NP!! So you can do offer shopping
Thank me later!!
Cheers 🍻🥂

I am a ex TCSer and left TCS in 2023. I will tell you the pros and cons of TCS
Pros
- Job security ( mostly government company like)
- Medical insurance
- On-site opportunities
Cons
- Less basic salary - which means your PF, gratuity and leave encashment will be calculated in basic which will be very less
- Mandatory 5 days work from office.
- Learning & growth is very limited in TCS.
- Relocation within India in future is not possible.
- Lot of dirty politics and favouritism.
- Hike will be hardly 5-7% every year
- Promotion minimum it will take 5 years unless you’re good in butter or involve in the dirty politics
- Hike and promotions will be given to people who are not working and doing butter
- There are two concept for hike. One is rating and the other one is grade. Though you get 5/5 rating, the grade can still be C (C average, B Above average, A excellent). If you get C you are not eligible for promotion next one year. 🤣
- When you have decided to switch, you would have forgotten what you learned because TCS runs mostly on support projects and not on development/implementation.
Hope this helps.

TCS any day. Has job security and stability. Take a decision basis the fact that you shouldn't feel bad even if you quit n the pending hike comes in here
