Help me decide

I am newly joined SWE with an interest in ML and data science. I have been given the choice to join two teams , one as a data scientist and one as a Mlops engineer. Which job role is better to have keeping in mind future opportunities to shift and moving abroad ? Given the fact that I am okay with the deliverables for both the roles.

Very different roles. Data scientist if you can deal with failures and are not easily discouraged.

MLops engineer - more like a plumber. Fit stuff together and it works. Disappointments can be solved reading logs, not theory
