I have mac and dell both.
Both have all softwares available. If you decide to go with dell, make one thing for sure - get 5 years warranty right when you are purchasing it from dell website. You wont be able to buy 5yrs after purchase. Thermal issues are constant issue in dell laptop history.
You ll get Free of cost thermal paste once the laptop heats every 6-7 months. Xps battery is at par or slightly less than mac but managable.
Mbp screens have become fragile now compared to 2015 mbps after 2017models. Screens Prone to slights of rain water. If you gonna travel with it on 2 wheeler or public transport, do buy a waterproof polybag. Screens cost is way too much. Mbp is hassle free. No shutdowns, no hangs, no reinstalling os, no lag! Also, no matter what model u buy, mbp or mac air, go for 24gb ram. Everyone will say, 16gigs is more than enough. Yes it is, but only for next 4years.
If you want to get every ounce of juice from mbp's and want it to last for 7 years, go with 24gigs ram.
