Help me choose a job offer as fresher.
I got 2 job offers both are in the associate web developer role. Both companies are service based 100-200 strength companies. I applied as a reactJS developer but this is what they told me about my role-
Company 1 told me that initially you will have to work on WordPress but later they might develop their product in which they will need reactJS Devs.
Company 2 told me that though the main stack will be JS and its libraries but i might have to learn other languages like PHP based upon the client requirements.
I don't want to be stuck somewhere where I am doing a completely different thing than what I have learnt (MERN stack).
Both companies took 3 rounds in core JS and reactJS.
Both companies are paying decently in the current job market. I am confused about which one to join or whether I should ditch both and look for more specific reactJS role jobs?

Don't go with the WordPress one, go with JS, that is the 2nd company. But check the culture with the existing employees also
But they told me I might have to learn PHP if the client requirements are like that, so that is little concerning for me
By choosing to work with WordPress you would be sabotaging your career. What if the company never came up with their supposed "reactjs" project? You'd be left empty handed.
Fair point , also one more thing if you could help with , Glassdoor rating of company 1 (wordpress one) is 4.7 and company 2 is 3.3, should I take these ratings seriously ?
Not the Glassdoor ones. The best way would be to try and get in touch with existing employees on LinkedIn.
Bhai aisi koi dikkat nahi hai php seekhne me. Tujhe backend seekhne ko milega, WordPress me jaega bhai toh bahot Kam jobs hai aur acchi jobs nahi hai aage. Yaha pe development experience leke kabhi bhi switch kar sakta hai. Waha pe nahi mila proper development ka kaam toh dikkat ho jaegi next switch me. Mai agar tere jagah hota toh bhale hi paise thode 2nd company me Kam hi sahi par development side jata qki aage scope hai switch karne ka usme nahi hai zyada aur high paying jobs nahi hai. Toh mere hisab se bhai mai 2nd chose karunga anyday, baki your choice
