Help | Cisco | Google | Oracle

Hi everyone,

Recently I had interviews with Google and Oracle for the roles of 'Network Test Engineer' and 'IC3' respectively. Can you please help me with the expected compensation I should request? and which one should I choose for my career?

YOE: 3.3 years SDET-2 College: Tier 2 Compensation: 16 LPA Base + Bonus + Retirals (No Stocks)

Offer in Hand:

  1. Internal switch from SDET-2 to SDE-2 -> 20LPA Base + PF + Bonus (No Stocks)
  2. Oracle India (not OCI) is offering "Senior Software Developer" role -> 28LPA Base + PF (No stocks or bonus)
  3. Google is offering "Network Test Engineer" role -> 17.4LPA Base + 15% Target Bonus + $40,500 stocks (4 years) + Equity + 2.5L Sign-on Bonus + 3L Relocation Bonus. Can you please help me on the offer? Also, I am trying to switch to a dev role.

Please help as early as possible as I have to respond to them.

Thanks.

Edit 1: Oracle's "Senior Software Developer" role seems more of a DevOps role and not proper product development.

Edit 2: What is the WFH policy of the above two companies and WLB?

Internal switch would be best to explore your capabilities as Developers before making a full switch where expectations would be more

Oracle has one of the best wlb. Wfh depends on org few give complete wfh in some you have to come 3 days to office. I think you are being slightly underpaid in Oracle you can negotiate for stocks too. I still think you should go for Google if role is same, it will be easier to switch later

Switch to SDE2 and then switch again. You can target many product companies.
