Heartwarming Firsts: Celebrated New Year and Birthday with Orphanage Kids

This year, I decided to celebrate New Year and my birthday with those in need, offering them something meaningful. I searched online for orphanages or shelter homes in Bangalore and eventually picked one.

I visited the orphanage to meet the kids, share chocolates, and contribute a small amount to help them. It turned out to be a truly heartwarming experience that gave me a fresh perspective on the lives of orphaned kids and those living in extreme poverty.

It was one of the most fulfilling birthday celebrations I’ve ever had, where I tried to make a small but meaningful impact on others’ lives.

If you have had such experiences, do share I would love to hear and learn. Open to different perspectives and Ideas.

PS: I wanted to share this anonymously so it doesn’t come across as bragging but as a way to express my thoughts.

My family has been supporting/volunteering at old age homes, temples, orphanages, NGOs and schools for many years. Annual ritual to do something good for others on birthdays, deaths or other occasions.

We change where we contribute every few years.

Really glad to hear that your family has been following this for years. By any chance, have you been to any such places in Banglore?
