Heard about "quiet hiring"/"quiet-promotion"?
you see everyone screamed about "quiet quitting" But what about "quiet hiring".. "quiet-promotion" Whole roles are getting absorbed… silently. No title change. No pay change. Just "be a team player"
Seen it more than once .. PM doing DevRel because "you speak well" Designer doing product marketing because "you write well" Recruiter doing employer branding because "you know candidates" Upskill is good. Unpaid scope creep is not. Orgs defend it as "agility"
Eventually employees experience it as slow-motion burnout. lack of pay certainly triggers the motivation gap for average humans. Right?
If you are a leader: shouldn't you - call it, scope it, reward it. If you are an employee: wouldn't you want to - document it, price it, negotiate it.
